*Update*
Today I met the local game warden down at the ranch to get some licensing paperwork and to conduct our deer “drive” as required by state law. Myself and 7 other guys walked or rode the ranch from one end to the other, clanking pipes, hoopin’ and hollerin’ (I yelled boot camp cadences) in order to “drive” all the indigenous deer to the opposite corner of the ranch, where J4 Fence installers were waiting to erect the last section of the high fence. I nearly flipped my four wheeler a few times, got down to fumes in the gas tank but the up side is that I actually located a couple of old trails and roads that had grown up over the years. I had never been to many of these parts of the ranch before! I also found several streams and creeks that are intermittent drainages off of the mountain which made for some awesome scenery. Then it started to rain! All in all, I think we made the best effort possible and the game warden seemed satisfied. The fence should be completely finished sometime this saturday, which is incredible.
