Paul, great reminder to all of us! When you were talking about being alone, reminder me also of Ebeneezer Scrooge being left alone at the boarding school and the loneliness he felt in his life as well. Think of all the lonely people around us, some we may not even realize, and remember to be thoughtful of everyone. I am so thankful for you and Britani and what you are doing in a loving way.
I am not stressed this holiday after being displaced from my job and losing such a wonderful father because God has given me his Peace through Jesus and there is not one day that I am not thankful. I have worked part time through the holidays but look forward to being able to be there for mom. Love you guys and Goc Bless You! Melinda

I remember that time so well brother. Except I was at Cherry Point, N.C. waiting on a c-130. They tried to actually ship us out on Christmas eve but the XO "convinced" them not too. I won't go into the rest of the story, you've covered it thoroughly thanks for giving us a little perspective. Maybe I can enjoy this Christmas as it should be. As a man blessed. Semper Fi !

Paul,
Congratulations on not just another successful hunt, but for the Grace with which you carry your charge of taking care of your men. What I hear in your description of these "missions" is truly leading these men into a different type of battle. One where the enemy lies within as these soldiers learn to battle what remains after having served in active combat. Blessings to you, your loving family, and all who serve, and have served, to protect the lives of their fellow Americans.
Aho,
We are all related.

Once again Paul, your blogs always make me feel like I am there, and that I'm witnessing the same personalities in each Wounded Veteran. The few times I have attended, I've been astonished by the changes in most that attend. I personally have watched several Veterans that for various reasons tried to keep to themselves, and were complacent. That has changed each and everytime. I've witnessed the transformation in these hunters, who then start to open up, due to the Bowman Lodge Crew relentless pursuit to help change the attitiudes for each and every hunter who attends.
By the time the weekend has ended, these Veterans have become more at ease and less despondent then when they arrived.

If others could have seen as I have, the personal touches you give to each Veteran, they would be astonished.

I respect and admire each and every one of the Members of the Bowman Lodge for their dedication for each Veteran that attends.
God Bless each of you and your families.

Dear Paul,
I'm Danny's Mother-in-law, and Linda always forwards your interesting blogs, to family and friends, about the activities at the Bowman Lodge/Ranch. What a great 'caring service' you are giving to those who have gave so much for us! As far as we are concerned - - you are an 'angel walking on earth' - - but you prefer your wings remain hidden - - so your special guest receive the 'glory', which they, so much, deserve. God bless you!!!
